Donkey Kong

What can we tell you about Donkey Kong that you wouldn’t already know? We could tell you that this flash version of the arcade hit is identical to the Nintendo version of this game, as it came out in the eighties. We could also tell you that this is the game where Nintendo’s official Mascot the famous Super Mario made his first public appearance. And we can also tell you that in this game Mario was called Jump man and that it would take more than a year before he would be launched starring in his own game, after which so many classics in the Super Mario Games series followed, and new ones are still coming out.

However, it was the monkey that made him, in this arcade classic known as Donkey Kong. In this game Mario/Jump man is doing what he always does, rescuing Princess Peach from peril, in this case a giant ape who will throw barrels at him. While Mario jumps over the barrels, dodges them and climbs and jumps to reach the Princess, the ape will capture her time and time again.

Mario is controlled with the arrow keys to move and the spacebar to jump.

Donkey Kong is every bit as fun as a flash game as the game was in the Arcade Halls and on the SNES, so be prepared to be on the edge of your seat again, jumping and dodging barrels.  As the game says: How high can you get?
